True Love

In light of it being Valentine’s day, I just thought it good to ponder for a moment what Jesus commands His own.
“As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
(John 15:9-12)

This love is sacrificial, freely and graciously given even to those undeserving of it, and something we are commanded each day to offer, not just one day a year. Oh for the grace of God to enable us to love one another as He loves us!

Oh yeah…true love – that which the Law and the Prophets hang upon.
